Sigil storyline
Storyline
In ages past, this world basked in the radiance of civilisation. The ancients constructed marvels that rivalled even the fabled palaces of the Gods. Mastery over all the elemental and arcane energies meant their supremacy was almost peerless, but such brilliant light attracted the darkest void. Whispers from beyond the stars corrupted one ancient Grand Arcanist, turning them to madness and destruction. The void's corruption all but destroyed the ancients and their designs; cities fell, entire lands razed, leaving little trace of their former majesty. Barely escaping the collapse, a small contingent of mages hid away in a deep place, going into a sleep-like stasis, hoping to wake when the corruption subsided.
Millennia passed by, and the surface began to calm. The mages awoke one by one, but they had slumbered too long and forgot much of their former life. It is now up to them to fight away the darkness and restore the power of creation into the world.
